Improve the strength and flexibility of your feet in this 75-minute workshop led by professional dancer and movement educator Arian Russell. Allow Arian to reintroduce you to your feet, their remarkable architecture, and the vital role they play as the foundation to your entire body.

In each of these 3 workshops, Arian will guide you through a deeper understanding of foot anatomy and how it supports your posture and movement. You will learn specific routines to revive tired feet and address common issues such as plantar fasciitis, sprained ankles, dropped arches, bunions and hammer toes.

You will leave feeling lighter, more grounded, and better organized throughout your entire body, equipped with proactive tools to continue your practice at home.

  • This is for anyone with tired, aching feet looking to rejuvenate and address common issues such as plantar fasciitis, heel pain, stiff ankles, sprained ankles, fallen arches, bunions, and hammertoes.

    Beyond addressing specific pain points, these strategies are also designed to enhance your overall athletic potential. Whether your focus is on the pickleball court, in the gym, at the dance studio, or on the hiking trail,  improving foot mobility and strength is a key component to better performance and injury prevention.

  • This 75-minute workshop is designed to provide a fun, safe environment to learn about and explore the mechanics of your feet.

    During the workshop, we will utilize world-renowned Yamuna Foot Wakers, along with loop bands and yoga blocks, to achieve the following:

    First, we will focus on releasing and hydrating the fascial tissues while beginning to mobilize the many joints of the foot. Next, we will work specifically on improving alignment and building functional strength. We will conclude the session by integrating and coordinating these improvements into your natural walking gait and movement patterns.

  • Yamuna Foot Fitness is a program designed to provide simple tools and solutions to help you prevent and alleviate foot pain.

    The program utilizes Yamuna Foot Wakers, which are sensory stimulation domes that increase blood flow, flexibility, and range of motion. These tools act as a guide to improve foot alignment and stimulate the tissues in your feet. Once your feet are functioning correctly, they only require a few minutes of daily practice to remain healthy and pain-free.

Arian specializes in training people in the art of movement using a unique blend of techniques that include Yamuna Body Rolling, The Gyrotonic Method and TRX Suspension Training. Using these methods, Arian is able to spot faulty movement patterns, structural misalignments, tensional imbalances and compressive forces, which at their worst lead to injury and at their mildest frustrate movement potential.

With a background as a professional dancer and over 17 years and 20,000 hours of private personal training and teaching experience, Arian Winn Russell is a Movement Educator based in Los Angeles, California. Originally from Atlanta, Georgia, Arian graduated from The Boston Conservatory. She has performed with esteemed choreographers in San Francisco, Portland, Atlanta, Boston and Los Angeles.

Arian specializes in training people in the art of movement using a unique blend of techniques that include Yamuna Body Rolling, The Gyrotonic Method and TRX Suspension Training. Using these methods, she identifies faulty movement patterns, structural misalignments, tensional imbalances, and compressive forces that can lead to injury or limit movement potential.
